(Charlotte, North Carolina) - The National Wireless Safety Alliance (NWSA) announced today that Mark Ciarfella, Executive Vice President U.S. Operations at SBA Communications Corporation, has been appointed to serve on the organization's Board of Directors.
Prior to co-founding Vertical Bridge, Mr. Gellman was President and COO of Global Tower Partners, the largest privately-held tower company in the United States. 
"Mark's extensive background and experience working at a prominent international wireless communications infrastructure firm like SBA will add tremendous insight to help the organization navigate the next phase of getting worker certification programs to scale in the industry," added MacEntee. Prior to joining SBA Communications, Mr. Stoops was a partner with Gunster, Yoakley, a Florida based law firm, where he practiced for thirteen years in the corporate, securities and mergers and acquisitions areas. Mr. Gellman previously served as Vice President Development and a co-founder of Horizon Cellular Group, a start-up backed by McCaw Cellular to acquire, develop and operate rural cellular franchises in the eastern United States. Todd Boyer is the Chief Executive Officer of TowerCo and manages the overall operations and business activities. This new certification will create a credentialing system for industry workers who supervise crews that work on communications structures, whether they are antenna and line crews, construction crews, or structural modification crews. Mr. Kasavana founded PTI with a focus on transparent, mutually beneficial transactions and business with its customers, landlords, wireless site developers, owners, and owners of infrastructure and the communities PTI does business in as well as the development of a scalable platform to own and operate wireless infrastructure across multiple international markets and product classes. Steven Vondran is Executive Vice President and President, U.S. Tower Division, American Tower. Delayed Mr. Brown holds a BBA from Baylor University. Prior to founding Phoenix Tower International, Mr. Kasavana was Senior Vice President of Mergers & Acquisitions for Global Tower Partners from 2006 to 2013. Since joining Crown Castle in August 1999, he has served in a number of positions in corporate development and corporate finance. He was appointed President in April 2000, and has been a director since August 1999. Members include wireless carriers, infrastructure providers, and professional services firms that collectively own and operate more than 135,000 telecommunications facilities around the globe. Hereceived an MBA from The American University and graduated from the College of Architecture at Ball State University. Following the merger, Mr. Gellman served as President and CEO of SpectraSite-Transco Communications, Ltd., a joint venture between SpectraSite and British Gas to develop tower sites in the United Kingdom. He is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) Washington, DC/Baltimore chapter, and currently chairs the Workforce Development Committee for WIA. He received his Bachelors of Science and Juris Doctor degrees from Florida State University. Todd began his career in the wireless industry working on several new market carrier build outs for SBA Communications and Nextel Communications, where he held various site development roles on the east and west coast. Mr. Weisman received his law degree from The George Washington University National Law Center with honors, an LLM in Taxation from The George Washington University National Law Center and is a graduate of Brown University. Tom Kane has been with NB+C for 25 years and after several roles of increasing responsibility currently serves as its CEO. He is a graduate of Rutgers University and completed his MBA at Columbia University Business School. In 2007, Tom utilized the companys tower development capabilities and backlog to lead a successful management buyout of NB+C, creating a 100% management-owned LLC. The NWSA, headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, is a national non-profit assessment and certification organization established to provide thorough, independent assessments of knowledge and skills and provide verifiable worker certification in order to enhance safety, reduce workplace risk, improve quality, encourage training, and recognize the skilled professionals who work on towers and other non-standard communication structures. He specialized in providing expertise to clients in the areas of technology, wireless infrastructure, manufacturing, and telecommunications. Prior to that, Mr. Brown served as Treasurer of Crown Castle from May 2004. The NWSA currently offers two industry-wide certification programs: Telecommunications Tower Technician 1 (TTT-1) and Telecommunications Tower Technician 2 (TTT-2).
