Overall, everything was perfect and we witnessed eruptions happening every 10-15 minutes. I still do give it three stars, as it has an amazing location just off the square, it has a beautiful rooftop overlook Antigua and the front desk service is wonderful and friendly.

I began my first night at Caf No S, a popular and dimly lit bar, where I lost the time under a haze of mezcal.
The craft beer is good, nothing suuuper special. There are a few really good restaurants inside the beautiful courtyard to enjoy. The trek is difficult, (6-7 hours up to camp) so be prepared with hiking shoes that have reaction and poles, since the hike down was extremely slippery.
This bar at Antigua is perfect for you to enjoy some Mezcal, the music?
Next time I am in Antigua - and what I recommend - to others is spend a little more, a little extra goes a long way here!

Cheap drinks and ok music for a nightclub. The blonde and the ipa were fairly basic and easy drinking and compared to the rest of the beers I've had here they are definitely leaps and bounds above the competition.

This review is for the hotel. The set up is completely legitimate: there are bouncers, a DJ, a bar that accepts credit cards, lights and booming speakers; there are even food carts serving tacos all night long. This rooftop bar is deservedly popular for sunset drinks and snacks with a panorama, weather permitting.

ANTIGUA, Guatemala First there was light. Antigua Guatemala, Guatemala +502 5401 2686. Located near the Santa Catalina arch, this split-level disco has a dance floor thats always packed. The restaurant is very pleasant.

I had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was very tasty. Great prices and atmosphere, service is great and smoothies are delicious. Our favorite beer here is the locally brewed Xute Pale Ale; but the Hunapuh White IPA is pretty solid too. Food is good. Pina colada was ice and coconut milk only. The cocktails are great, and it has an LGBT-friendly reputation. I went in and said I wanted something with rum that would be nice and bitter, and within five minutes Surez gave me anexcellent drink whoseingredients included ginger ale, thyme and lemon.
After one more drink we went to the Lucky Rabbit discotheque, where sweat-drenched, liquored-up tourists danced from the balcony to the huge ballroom, where a massive projector screen rotated through pictures from parties past. Group of only four tourists. Dont come here for cocktails. Its such a vibe and every time I go I meet new people which is so fun. About 40% cheaper than Epicure( too expensive).

Tucked right next to the Santa Catalina arch is this small but perfectly formed wine bar with an extensively sourced cellar. As it says in the name, its all about the views. Patrons were enjoying themselves. Located under the Santa Catalina arch, an iconic landmark that is in the heart of the city, the tasting room is small but allows you to elbow up next to new friends.

There are hundreds ofbars, restaurants and cafes in Antigua, the former capital of Guatemalaand currenthotbed for tourists from all over the world. Oh, and the Chilli papas are bomb! We paid our tab and they said the money got lost. You can go by bike and keep it with you in your room. We scoured through the internet and read through. Despite actually being a hostel, the bar in Big Foot is awesome and pretty much every night of the week theyll have the music banging and an all-day happy hour to keep your ears and your wallets in the party spirit.
I found them in a tucked-away, shoebox-sized bar inside a courtyard with the innocent nameCoffee Shop San Simn. Great hike on the Acatenango. The only suggestion I have to improve the tour would be to build a few benches around the camp fire area! What a great introduction to this beautiful country. Anyways, good spot for games, servers are a little pushy about ordering stuff and will try to get you to order more etc. Wine by the glass starts at Q35, but if you keep with the same bottle it gets cheaper with each refill.
Try them. It was like a melting pot of cultures, if the only thing you had thrown into the pot was cheap vodka with a sprinkle ofgood mezcal. They sweated with wax that rantowards the wood, their blurredshine reflected bythe mezcal bottles lining the shelf. This alternative cafe is a vertically oriented space that takes up an absurdly narrow corner of an old building (grab the rope to reach the upper level). The next night, continuing my research, I began at Fridas, where a smiling Salvadorian bartender served me the quality house mezcal. Drinks are affordably priced.
Happy hour is from 5pm to 9pm every night, and on Fridays live bands play on the roof terrace. All rights reserved. So, in doing my due diligence, I toured the best restaurants and bars that Antigua has to offer. Awesome little wine bar.
The liveliest dance floor in town is packed with Guatemalan youth toward the weekend. Other bars looked really cool too and had more patrons but it's an open space with great atmosphere. Our host, Olga, was so kind and cooked the best food! Great bar service. Green walls, harps and Guinness add a hint of the Irish, and somehow there's live music squeezed in on the weekends. Amazing 10/10 hike to Acatenango with Christa (our guide). The place would look better if they stocked more gourmet items like wines and condiments. Overall I'd definitely recommend this place but only if you can sit on the rooftop, I was in the main area on the ground floor and it was super loud, music, equipment, etc.
The rooftop has incredible seating too that overlooks Antigua. The cafe is tiny, but dining up in the loft was very cozy!
We only stayed for one week but I wish I could stay longer. There are frequent live bands, and every Great bartenders Alejandro, Baby, and I'm going to call him Houston because I forgot his name, and the other bartender(didn't get her name) were all so friendly and warm. Great service, and knowledge! Find this bar tucked away next to its bookstore on 1A Avenida Sur. Ambiance. There are only 6 tables up a narrow steep ladder.

Just off the main square of Antigua, youll find the entrance to the courtyard El Barrio, where inside you can explore a multitude of different bars and atmospheres; so take your pick, or roam between them all in your own mini (and very non-strenuous) bar crawl.
They also have food during the day and happy hour from 1pm to 7pm. This place was really nice and the food was great!!
